Day 43

What the heck is going on.  The sky is littered with contrails going this way and that crossing over each other.  Could that be an commercial airport? Is that the right word – contrails?  I will have to look that up later.  Siri won’t look it up for me while I’m driving.  Wait a minute.  Why am I think about this?  What I really wanted to think about is car carriers.  Yes, I said car carriers.

I am impressed with all the car carriers passing me as I move along at the suggested trailer-pulling speed of 60 mph.  I am wondering how they get them loaded up, stacked on top of each other, tipping forward and backward in a row.  Hmmmmm….

Time passes.

Hey, there goes an empty one with flat ramps.  Thinking.  They must load up flat and then tip them into their protective position.  That’s my theory and I’m sticking to it.

I’m of the opinion that you can learn anything from YouTube and so far I’m right.  I’m also right about the changing shape of the ramps but there is MUCH more to it that you would think.  If you want, watch this video where they pile 10 cars onto an 80 foot hauler.  It’s quite intricate and entertaining, at least to me.  One warning, however, turn down the volume.  The music is annoying.

Oh.  About the contrails, I was right about the word, luckily, so I don’t have to go back and edit a mistake.  Heaven forbid I make a mistake.  Also, there was both an military air station close by AND Jacksonville International, so now the vapor lines make sense.
