Day 65

It’s difficult to adequately describe how grand and beautiful it is here in Roosevelt Lake. The drive up from Globe was spectacular.

 

Cholla Campground was …. Well what was it?  I’m running out of superlatives. I felt very comfortable and serene, and it was fun meeting new friends for the holiday. It’s claim to fame is being the only (or largest?) fully solar-powered facility.

 

We laughed and laughed around the campfire. 

 

Climbed to visit cave dwellings. I pooped out about half way up, but Susan made it all the way up the steep path and shared these photos.

 

We even got to eat with some good ole boys-great homemade salsa. 

 

And then the happened…
